Atheist Perspectives

It is difficult to grasp that some people could consider that the Universe, Galaxies, Solar System, Earth-moon system, the preparation of the Earth, complex Ecosystems, biosphere, human habitation, etc. are complete accidental coincidences.  Several Atheists claimed to have analyzed available evidence for the existence of God and concluded that there was no convincing or supporting data.  There are believers who tend to suspect that some people may be using atheism as a tool to disassociate themselves from certain religious ethics, morals and values.  Atheists do not consider their beliefs to be any  form of religion, as their system of beliefs are based upon the non-existence of any form of deity, particularly in respect of any entity of a spiritual nature that would have been capable of creating and/or maintaining the universe.  Although many atheists hold that any moral code would be personal in nature (derived from strictly private considerations), it can appear that there is a uniform code structure loosely founded on the antithesis of several common religious ethics, morals and values.  Ostensibly, it can give the impression that atheists analyzed the Jewish Decalogue and adopted guiding principles based on the opposite of select Laws.  Some atheists exhibit an agenda superficially assailing religious figures (1).

For instance, in response to the Commandment; "You Shall Not Murder", the very first priority at the top the atheist belief list is a surreptitiously worded statement supporting abortion: "In the inherent worth of every person. People are worthy of respect, support, and caring simply because they are human. Unfortunately, we have not reached a consensus on when human life, in the form of an ovum and spermatozoon, becomes a human person. On this matter, our lack of agreement on when personhood begins mirrors that of society at large." (2).  The overtone endeavors to dehumanize a developing baby utilizing associations to chemical reactions.

There are several Bible references that make it clear that the everlasting soul is infused at fertilization (Psalm 139:13, Job 31:15, Gal. 1:15, Jeremiah 1:5, Luke 1:44).  As atheists dismiss spirituality, one would presume that a true atheist would believe that death is final and there is no afterlife.  Similar to the Sadducees in Jesus' time who denied any afterlife, holding that the soul perished at death, and therefore denying any penalty or reward after the earthly life (3).  The end is the end, and there is no further existence.  However, reviewing atheist sites, they occasionally refer to an afterlife.  They have slipped up in debates where is became clear that they did believe in some form of existence after this one.  If we have a soul, when was it infused?  Some find it convenient to hold that "human life" begins after birth, when the umbilical cord is cut and at the first breathing.  The reasoning is likely a complete remission of responsibility and total sexual freedom at any cost, even if it means murdering a sibling.
